After a profane back-and-forth with Khabib Nurmagomedov over social media, Conor McGregor appeared to call a ceasefire and announce his impending return to action.
This comes just eight days after hisfrom mixed martial arts.
McGregor and Nurmagomedov engaged in a vile Twitter spat Wednesday in which McGregor insulted Nurmagomedov’s wife and his religion – then deleted the post – and Khabib referenced Conor’s reported.
“You sent this exact threat to my coach in 2016 also. I remember it well,” McGregor responded in a since-deleted tweet. “Before you and your team attacked my teammate alone in a Brooklyn hotel. Remember where this all began. God sees all.”
UFC president Dana White said in a statement obtained bythat the fighters’ conduct is “unacceptable” and is being addressed.
