TheWednesday they expect to activate right-hander from the disabled list to start against the on Saturday.
Darvish, 29, was placed on the 15-day disabled list with discomfort in his neck and shoulder on June 13 after he was pulled from a contest June 8.
The Japanese hurler pitched through a rehab start Sunday without any issue.
"I felt better, way better than the last time I threw. … It was a good outing overall," Darvish toldthrough his interpreter Sunday after he allowed three runs and struck out five against a affiliate. "The last time I was a little more hesitant. Today, I was free and throwing my arm, able to pitch without hesitation. That was the biggest difference."
Darvish underwent Tommy John surgery in March 2015 and returned to the Rangers at the end of May to make three starts before being sidelined by discomfort in his throwing arm.
Over the course of four seasons with Texas, Darvish owns a 41-25 record with a 3.26 ERA and an 11.2 strikeout-per-nine rate.
