Even thoughspoiled ‘s shot at history, the veteran hurler still made sure to salute his opponent before walking off the field.
Reddick roped a double in the eighth inning, ending Colon’s no-hitter just one batter after theright-hander had lost his perfect game on a walk.
Colon would leave the game after 7 2/3 innings and stopped to have a brief exchange with Reddick on his way to the dugout. Thefans at Minute Maid Park also gave Colon a loud ovation as he walked off the field.
"He looked at me and told me I was supposed to at least roll over that or not pull it like that," Reddick. "He and I go way back from our days. I told him 'great job'. He's one of the better guys you'll meet in the game and one of the better pitchers."
