Michael Jordan’s Lucky UNC shorts
Bleacher Report
Michael Jordan is famous for starting a lot of things in the NBA and in the game of basketball in general. One thing he’s often credited for is starting the long shorts trend in basketball players. At a time when everybody was wearing really short shorts, Jordan wore shorts almost up to his knees. What people didn’t know was that Jordan was wearing his lucky UNC Tar Heels practice shorts underneath his Bulls uniform shorts because he considered them lucky, and has worn them in every game of his entire career. His Airness’ lucky UNC shorts reached legendary status when they featured prominently in the movie Space Jam, with Nike releasing a special edition of the pair in 2017.
